I'm in Ghana! Right now I am on my way to visit another volunteer and gain some more perspective. After that I will be back with my training group for more training and my host family stay.
The massive amounts of immunizations are going well and my daily malaria meds have had no bad side effects. So far I have learned to drink water from a plastic bag and get around using tro tros (vans that carry about 20 people) and line taxis (think geo metros). Everyone is sooo friendly here that you can never get lost because all you have to do is ask around. Their culture believes in helping others and expects nothing in return. It is a beautiful thing!
