Mosquitoes suck blood from your pores.
Black flies bite a hole in your skin and lick up the blood with their brush like tongue.
No-see-ums burn a hole in your skin with their vomit then they lick up the blood from that vomit hole.
This is the explanation of why all my bug bites heal at different rates. Just another educational lunchtime conversation.
